Tuesday September 24 (Day 3)
Surprisingly, we only had nine. Today we practiced singing our math facts as a class. We reviewed our 8's song together out loud. At the beginning, we seemed to have no problem but it got harder for people in the middle and at the end. Some students had trouble with 8X7. Some had difficulty with 8x8 and others were confused by 8x9. Unfortunately, very few people had practiced last night. We only had 9 out of 33 students who went home to work on their goal. This is starting to worry Mr. Muetzel because without practice we can not get better. Hopefully, we will have more practice tonight. We can not have only 9 again!

Monday September 23 (Day 2)
We started a long journey today. Today we took a pretest on our math facts. The test we took was 100 multiplication problems and they were from 0 to 10. We were given 5 minutes to complete all 100 problems. In the class 12 people were able to pass the test and 18 people needed more time. This means that most students were not able to get done in time and that we need to improve on our multiplication facts. The fifth grade standard is to be able to complete these facts in about 2 and a half minutes. This shows that we did not do as well as we expected. The pretest gave us an idea that we need to work hard. We have a long hard journey ahead of us but we can do it.
Friday 9/20 (Day 1)
Today we set a class goal of improving on our multiplication facts. Mr Muetzel noticed that it took us a long time to do problems in class. After seeing this, it showed us that we need to get faster at multiplication. When he said this, I thought that he was talking about me because sometimes I have trouble with the 6's, 7's and 8's. So, I decided to practice so that I can get better at these multiplication facts.
